Why We Give
God influences the world through his people. He blesses us so He can bless others through us. The Bible tells us that everything we have is a gift from God (1 Chronicles 29:14). As you give both faithfully and willingly, the world is changed for the glory of God: the gospel is preached, lives are touched, people are fed, bodies are healed, churches are built; and you, in turn, are blessed by God so that you can give again. We would ask that you prayerfully consider making a recurring gift as a way to partner with us in helping people who are far from God find life in Jesus.

Absolutely, just log in to your Giving Account at anytime to change or delete your scheduled contribution.
We take your information seriously and have partnered with Church Community Builder and Pushpay so that the from beginning to end your giving data is secure.
Log in to MyHBWT and click on the $ Icon on the left. Select the Giving Statement button on the upper, right-hand corner and choose the criteria for your statement. Please contact the office if you need assistance or if you would like for us to print and mail your statement.

Building On The Rock (B.O.T.R.) is a Mission to Expand God’s Kingdom
B.O.T.R., short for Building On The Rock, is a dedicated fund at Have Bible Will Travel that supports major building repairs, renovations, and new construction projects. This fund is essential in ensuring that our church facilities continue to serve as welcoming, functional, and Spirit-filled spaces where lives are transformed by the Gospel. Whether it’s upgrading existing buildings, constructing new worship centers, or expanding outreach locations, B.O.T.R. is about creating a strong foundation for the future of God’s work.
This mission is deeply rooted in the Great Commission—the very command Jesus gave to His followers: to spread the Good News, make disciples, and teach others to follow Him. At Have Bible Will Travel, this calling is woven into our DNA. Our name itself reflects our unwavering commitment to going wherever God leads to share His love.
Pastor Pat Rankin has been given a vision of a church that never stops reaching the lost. As a result, we are constantly growing! With God’s grace, our church family continues to expand, and we often find ourselves in need of more space to accommodate all who seek to worship, learn, and serve. This is where B.O.T.R. comes in—enabling us to meet the needs of our growing congregation and ensuring that our church buildings remain strong and equipped for ministry.
Through B.O.T.R., we are able to:
✅ Renovate & Maintain – Keep our current locations in top condition, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and inviting.
✅ Expand & Build – Construct new facilities and worship spaces to reach even more people with the message of Jesus Christ.
✅ Prepare for the Future – Invest in long-term projects that will sustain and grow our church’s impact for generations to come.

Raquel Rose Rankin was in a car accident on 5-12-01 and died on 5-14-01. She was air lifted to Cardinal Glennon Hospital where she was taken care of until she died. The staff at Cardinal Glennon was amazing. Raquel was in ICU and they allowed her to have many visitors during her stay. They allowed friends and family to spend the night at the hospital and made accommodations above and beyond the call of duty. The hospitality that they showed to us all was God-given and we could not have asked for Raquel to be in a better hospital. Raquel’s birthday was on August 19th so her father decided he would like to do a fundraiser to raise money for Cardinal Glennon Hospital and for Have Bible Will Travel, which was the church Raquel attended. That is how the Ride for Rocky got started in 2001. Since 2001 we have raised over $490,000 to help families in need and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Please help us reach our goal this year. This ride is for anyone who loves kids or just loves to ride. All makes, models, cars, bikes, etc. are welcomed and encouraged!

This is an annual benefit ride that happens every August. We start at our Westport location and ride around to about 4-5 different stops around the St. Louis and St. Charles areas. There are food, raffles and auction items at each stop. All proceeds go to help families in need through HBWT Ride for Rocky Fund and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. We thank you for your interest in being a part of changing lives!
This is our 24th year having the Ride for Rocky fundraiser. We take all donations: checks, cash or items to raffle and auction off. Items can be anything; gift cards, gift baskets, collectibles, vacations, cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. Each year we have had t-shirts made up with a picture of Raquel on the front and our sponsors who donate $250.00 or more on the back. If you would like your name on the back of this year’s t-shirt we would need your check or donation by August 1, 2024. We have around 5,000 Ride for Rocky shirts in circulation advertising the sponsoring companies.
If you have been moved by Rocky’s story, and want to make a financial donation, click button below to be redirected to our giving page. We also take check and cash donations through offering envelopes at any of our locations. If you would like to donate gifts or items to be auctioned or raffled, please drop them off with any HBWT Office Staff at any location. The Annual Ride for Rocky event take a lot of man power. If you would like to give your time and help, we need volunteers for many tasks. Please contact the office for more info.
