Good Morning

Happy Friday July 30th

“No matter what hardships the world may throw at you,
you have—in Me—everything you need to persevere.
Despair is a deep pit, and sometimes you totter around its edges,
precariously close to falling in.
Your only hope at such times is to fix your eyes on Me.
The more perplexed you are—bewildered by complex circumstances
—the easier it is to lose your balance.
To keep from falling, you must change your focus:
from your circumstances to My Presence.”

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,
the author and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Today’s prayer 🙏

Father God,

Thank you for always rescuing us from our falls, and thank you for giving us the wisdom to help others from falling as well.

Father, it’s so easy for the flesh to get consumed by the circumstances of the world at times. Easy to let our minds wander into the traps it sets for us, to throw us off our walk in your light.  But, all we need to do is stop and be still, and lift all things up to you. You will make sure to shine Your light back onto our path so we can once again see clearly.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for shining on all of your children so we can keep our minds and flesh free from this world’s shackles.
