Investing in our future

If we teach the children now, they can grow up with a strong faith, and lead others to salvation through Jesus Christ.  That is why our Kingdom Kids ministry is dedicated to teaching the Gospel to all the children who walk through our doors.  We use Bible based curriculum to share the Word of God through creative teaching, classroom activities, games and crafts.

We would love to see you and your family visit Kingdom Kids at a HBWT campus this weekend.  Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!

We provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for all kids.  Newborn through 5th Grade.

Your First Visit

Look for the Check-In Station.  We will meet your family, help you check in your child into our database system and one of our CM Coordinators will direct your child to their age-appropriate room.  We will ask for the following personal information:  family members' names, children's names and birth-dates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

How Check-In Works

Once entered into our database you may check in your child at any available self-station.  After finding your child's name in the database, you and your child will be printed matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit.  Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag.  After the service, you will return to your child's room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

Kingdom Kids Classrooms

Here is a guide to help you find the classroom that fits your child's age at our Westport Campus

The set up may be a little different at our North and Weldon Spring, but our values are all the same.

  • Nursery Cubs

    6 weeks - 2 years

We provide a happy, safe environment in a divided room for our babies and toddlers where they are cared for, loved, read to and prayed over by our nurturing volunteers.  Toddlers need space to toddle, so we have a divided space where your toddler can play, dance or get comfy and listen to a story

  • Preschool Lions

    2 years (Potty Trained) - Pre-K

Our goal is to help children discover who God is and begin a relationship with Him.  Each week will include some or all of these activities; play time, interactive song singing, a fun Bible story, craft time, and a small snack.  Your child will have a teacher who will begin to build a relationship with you and your child and help them discover Jesus!

  • Elementary Tigers

    Kindergarten-2nd Grade

Our elementary classes are designed to equip children to move forward in their relationship with God. Your child will go into their particular class for prayer, activities and Bible lesson. It is our goal that our children learn to apply Biblical truths to their young lives, becoming life-long followers of Christ. Your kids will love the energy and excitement they receive from our volunteers and leaders

  • Elementary Bears

    3rd-5th Grade

Our 3rd - 5th Grade, while still in the Kingdom Kids, this group is the starting point for kids who will be growing into our Youth Ministry. There’s solid teaching, group discussions, and lots of fun activities! These kids are our future Youth so we are preparing them for the BIG kid class.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it."

Proverbs 22:6

What We Value?

Creative Bible Teaching

We strive to bring the Bible to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged.  Our lesson materials are age-appropriate and created in a way your child will understand.  We want all children to love God's Word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

We value children's relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group.  As families commit to attending the same service each week, children placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

Every child's name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every children's ministry volunteer is screened with a federal background check, and every hallway is monitored by our SAT Team (Safety Awareness Team).

Kids love fun!  We realize that when children have fun at church, they can't wait to come back.  We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing and more.

Interested in Serving?

We would love for all of our parents to be a part of the Kingdom Kids and help make our church a great place for kids and their families to be!

At HBWT, we believe that children are the future of the world, and we need to invest out time and love in them so they can grow up to be strong doers of God's Word.  With a growing number of members, we could always use more volunteers in children's ministry and anytime you can give helps.  If you would like to serve in the Children's Ministry, please see one of the CM Coordinators for more information.  Full Background Check required.

If you are interested in serving in our Westport or North Kingdom Kids or have any questions please contact Lacey Shank at [email protected]

Royal Ambassadors is a missions discipleship organization for boys in grades 1-6. Through hands-on activities that encourage spiritual growth, games and sports, and mentoring relationships with RA leaders, RA members become a faith-based brotherhood.

The RA Scripture passage (2 Corinthians 5:17-20) describes the purpose of Royal Ambassadors:

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come. Now everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us.

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ; certain that God is appealing through us, we plead on Christ’s behalf, ‘Be reconciled to God.'”

2 Cor. 5:17-20, HCSB

"We are the Ambassadors of Christ"

What are the parts of the RA emblem and their purposes?

  • Organization name and Scripture: An ambassador is a representative in a court or nation other than his own. Royal Ambassadors are representatives of Christ the King bringing good news of salvation to people everywhere. The RA Motto reads, “We are Ambassadors for Christ” (2 Cor. 5:20, HCSB).
  • The shield stands for faith in Christ (see Eph. 6:16). This symbol represents the journey of faith and a commitment to having faith in Christ.
  • The crown stands for Christ the King and what He represents (see Jas. 1:12). As a follower and ambassador of Christ, we are to stay focused on Jesus and His message to the world.
  • The branch is for achievement and victory in the work of being an Ambassador for Christ (see Matt. 25:21). Combining skills and actions help accomplish the goal of carrying the gospel to people needing to hear it.
  • Blue represents the boy’s loyalty to Christ, His church, and each other.
  • Gold represents the worth of the boy to God’s mission.
  • White represents purity of living, which makes him an effective ambassador.
